As wonderful as Chris Cornell's voice may be, AIC wins hands down for me.

That's a tough one for me. Both have really great songs. But Cornell puts it over the top for me. Soundgarden

This one comes down to kim thayil vs jerry cantrell for me. Im struggling here picking a winner.

Gonna go soundgarden, saw them live in 94 and it was one of the best hard rock shows ive been to.

See, but that's not "cheezy" In fact, I'd say that a band that "overplays" their songs is more in danger of cheeziness than the amateurish nature of many punk bands. There are many criticisms one can lay at punk's feet, but cheese isn't really one of them.


And when they first came out, but Soundgarden and AIC were considered metal bands. They were classified with hair metal, particularly AIC. How times change.
