in case you're a million internet years late on this, you can stream his album from his website: LINK
anyways, so Orange just got the hallowed BNM stamp from Pitchfork.
I've listened to it several times all the way through and I'd say it's average at best. I'm truly flabbergasted by all the hype.

For some reason I was expecting rock or pop...not R&B
That said, gave it a listen and its OK, not my thing...

I really like it. I don't really like "Monk" and "Forrest Gump" is quite awkward, but I love every other track -- some have taken a few listens to grow on me. "Bad Religion" should be longer.
Favorites from the album are Pyramids, Pink Matter, and End (Voodoo).

Haven't listened to the whole thing but Earl was good on "Super Rich Kids"

Album of the year so far. Ocean is soulful and his lyrics are spot on. The production is lush and quite beautiful as well.
Highlights: Thinking bout you, Sierra Leone, Pilot Jones, Crack rock, Pyramids, Bad Religion, Pink Matter

Earl's verse was solid, though I didn't like his delivery. I understand the intent, but it just sounds so out of place.
Tyler's verse, on the other hand, was absolutely terrible and I'll probably end up editing him out of it.

I didn't like this album at all. I'm not a fan of this whole OGFTKA/ urban sophistication movement

I'd rather listen to Tyler or the whole OFWGKTA crew. I can see the where the love comes from for Ocean's album, but I don't agree. I definitely don't see how it got a freaking 9.5 from Pitchfork.

Thats cause Pitchfork sucks and has for a while

Eh, I wouldn't go that far. The site has a lot of good video segments and clips. But they definitely have an agenda.
