Dude claims this is a Martin D35 and is asking $2200 for it.
To cleanse your palate of that garbage, here's my Martin HD-28 I recently acquired.

I have a 1966 D18 (last year of a real tortoise shell pick guard) that I've had since 1973. I'm ready to let it go, but I can't imagine letting it go for for $2200.

That would still be Brazilian rosewood, correct?

I don't know a lot about Martins, but the first thing that doesn't look right to me is the fretboard. What else do you see that looks wrong?

I'm sure someone like Fretshack could point out more but the wood on the fretboard and bridge doesnt look right, the cutout of the fretboard around the soundhole, the sticker in the soundhole, the back bracing isn't right for a D35, the fretboard dot pattern isnt right, the fretboard binding looks odd, and I've never seen a D35 with a black pickguard although they might have some.

That's what caught my attention, but there may an explanation.

the sticker in the soundhole,
Pretty sure I have seen real Martins with a sticker before, especially older ones, and after searching D-35s on Reverb.com I saw a couple with black pickguards. One was a 76 model, but the fretboard wasn't cut around the soundhole, like the one in your OP. One thing I did notice in the guitar in your OP, that pickguard was cut and placed perfectly, whoever did it. It also seems to have real bone nut and saddle. Did they show a photo of the back? That guitar should have a 3 piece back, right?

It is rosewood, but I don't remember the country of origin.
My brother had a D35 which never played or sounded right, so it found a new owner. If I recall correctly, the ebony fretboard developed a crack.

No photo of the back but it should have a three piece back

I don't do facebook, so I don't know how it works. Can you ask the seller for a photo of the back? and back of the neck?

But the sound hole shows a center seam reinforcement. Which would not be a D-35.

A D-18 should be mahogany back and sides no?

Correct. This was like the second thing I noticed after the soundhole sticker.

This D-35 shows that type of construction
LINK /
Possible that the backs are laminated and the outside is façade.
The soundhole decoration of the guitar that's for sale, also looks correct.
I think it's possible that it is a real D-35 that has had the fretboard replaced with an incorrect piece.

I just looked up the serial number. Based on Martin's decades-old sequential SN system, and compared with annual production in recent years, this "Martin" is technically a 2022 model. AKA, they haven't gotten to 262xxxx yet.

Damn, its a time traveler.

Damn, you cheated! I was going to look it up soon too, I was kind of enjoying the guesswork though.
