Any opinions on this amp? Currently have an egnater rebel which doesn’t sound that good (was my first tube amp). I could never get a good tone from the amp, so I mostly run it on clean and have pedals to build an ok tone.
I know fender is known for having good clean sounding amps. What’s your thoughts on this amp?

I have one and have gigged on it for years. Beautiful cleans, solid onboard reverb, loud enough to play most any sized room, and takes pedals well.
Disadvantages are that its heavy to lug around, and the drive channel definitely lacks umph and tends to feed back pretty bad if you’re not careful.
I would consider it a solid amp for someone looking to move up from their first student amplifier to start gigging. It makes great tones for blues, country, and some classic rock. However, if you want to play heavier music, you’re going to need a lot of pedals or a different amp.
My settings are gain at 2:00, treble at 2:00, bass at 1:00, mids at 3:00, reverb at 10:00, presence at 4:30
I’m usually playing with a Les Paul style guitar on the clean channel or a tele on the drive.

I used to have one, it's a solid amp. I only used the clean channel with pedals, because the dirt channel sucks. I really liked it using it that way. The volume taper is really bad. Goes from quiet to loud really quick on the volume knob. It's one of the best selling tube amps of all time.

What kind of volume do you need?
