I'm a big fan of Dire Straits and Knopfler in particular, just such fantastic songwriting about mostly average lives. He makes heroes of everyday people, in incredible situations.
Corn Beef City, is kick arse. The guys out stealing fuel to keep his equipment running

Man, I'm gonna have to look that up.
I saw Dire Straits in the LSU Student Union in 1980. One of the most memorable concerts I have ever gone to.
ETA: That is really good, highly recommend anyone who has not to check that album out.
