Always thought it would be interesting to meet someone who saw the last true hero of rock n roll...

The legend of GG Allin kinda reminds me of an older version of the legend of the Spo-it's. They even freak Sammy Duet out. I absolutely could not go within a mile of one of their shows.

"Eat My frick" by GG Allin is a textbook example as to how far contemporary music has come along since the early 20th century.
"Suck My arse It Smells" is just a true rock anthem.
Listening on vinyl is a fulfilling experience, but I always imagined that GG was one of those artists who really shine during live performances.

Covered anal count one time when I was a teen, about the closest I got.
Though I did meet his brother when the murder junkies had a show.

Merle?
I've seen interviews. He actually seems rather laid back.
ETA: Seth Putnam

Anal count's 1997 album I Like It When You Diecontained the track "You're in a Coma". Putnam's reaction to the resulting irony of being in a coma was published in the Boston Phoenix: "Actually, it turned out it was just as gay as the song I wrote nine years ago – being in a coma was just as frickin' stupid as I wrote it was."

There's a cool picture on google of a fan paying tribute to GG Allin at his grave that I can't post here

What's the fan doing?
I'm going to guess that he's taking a shite on his grave.

Yeah, he was alright. Was in the mid 2000s when I met him.

Guy was profoundly disturbed, probably in part due to genetics. Nobody around him was able or willing to get him into treatment, and this was the result.

I've had the honor of being punched in the face and shat upon by GG Allin.

There's a vid on YouTube of him on Springer. He justifies people getting raped at his shows by saying, "if someone gets raped at a GG Allin show, you bet your arse they won't get raped again. It prepares them for the situation, It builds strength whereas most folks become weak. Im doing them a favor."
