Where did you see them and what did you think of the performances?

Saw EOTS at HOB in nola and at Bonnaroo this past summer. they put on a good show, real entertaining, they wear whacky shite. I'd recommend em.
Seen Passion Pit at Spanish Moon, buku fest, and Bonnaroo also. As a big fan of theirs, I was apprehensive before seeing them live because I didn't know how their sound would translate to a live setting. I was pleasantly surprised at how good they sounded. Real fun shows, usually accompanied by a lot of hot chicks too

Got my Empire of the Sun ticket. This place has some great shows coming up.

Civic Theater hasn't been open in 25 years. This fall is its re-opening.
I might go to Empire of the Sun. Got tickets to Neutral Milk Hotel there in Feb.

Anyone know the parking situation around the Civic Theater?

Downtown parking is hit or miss on weekends, not too bad on weekday nights.

Gonna need a little more in the way of specifics. Coming in from out of state.

There are 3-4 lots within a 1 block radius.
The first actual concert will be Empire of the Sun on Thursday, Sept. 19th.
For a look at what the inside of the venue looks like, check this out: LINK
The production/lighting/sound in this place is unreal.

Also, the seats will be removed for both Empire of the Sun and Passion Pit.

You sure about that?

That blows. I was hoping they would leave the seats in upstairs.

Yes...balcony seats will remain on 2nd/3rd levels. Those are nailed down...
I'm talking floor. Floor seats will be removed for many shows. Some floor will remain seated.

I didn't see where any balcony/upper level tickets were being sold.

Many shows are General Admission. Meaning you can go on the floor, 2nd level or 3rd level - just like HOB. If you wanna stand, go on the floor. If you want to sit, go to 2nd or 3rd level.

Just bought tix for Empire of the Sun and Passion Pit. Even bought an extra ticket for my 12 year old for Passion since it's an all ages show.
Can't wait!
