He announced he is retiring, he was one of my favorites.

We had tickets to see him at the Tennessee Theater in Knoxville 2 weekends ago, but that show was postponed due to his hip replacement surgery rescheduled for September.
Really would have liked to have seen him before he hung it up for good. So many great songs in his catalog.

He came to the Riverdome in Bossier City in November. I missed it now I am kicking myself.

My parents, having been big fans for decades, saw him twice in the past few years. Said his voice was just as smooth as it was in their younger days. Also on a Don Williams note, my vinyl of his greatest hits has started skipping on Good Ol Boys Like Me

I always liked him, and even his 2012 album had some great songs. Never really lost vocals.

He will be in Lake Charles Friday, March 18th. Saw him a year ago. Amazing voice.
