Knew a number of people who were heaping praises on them before and after their show at the HOB in New Orleans last week, so I checked them out.
In all sincerity, that is some terribly awful music. The song Fitzpleasure is worse than 1994 by Jason Aldean. And then I read where it took the band five years to record the audio abortion that is their newest album

I enjoy the album from start to finish. It's fricking weird but I enjoy it.

I listen to their album about once a week .. think it's a really solid effort.
Don't know that they would be very good live, though.

Just didn't do it for me one bit. I like weird, experimental stuff, but this album just didn't make any connection with me.

Were outdone by their opener Lord Huron last week at the HOB show, but they executed their songs better than I expected to be honest. It was sorta "hey, here's our album in a different order" though, since they have no catalog to speak of at this point.

On first listen it reminded me of when I first heard Modest Mouse. Took me a few listens to get into it.

Most complete album of 2013 so far. Something Good is the best on there.
