Actually was thinking about this the other day,when My classic rock station played them,yeah,It's classic. The very early Soundgarden stuff too.and Metallica and Anthrax.
Ten years ago, I would have said "hell No",amazing how we change,and things become nostalgic over time and I like even better now.

Go to Target and you can find baby onesies with the Nirvana logo on them. That alone should tell you all you need to know.

Classic rock stations don't care about a genre or a specific time frame. They care about demographics. They want to attract white males between 35 and 50 that fit certain income levels and other criteria. That's why you'll hear these early 90s rock bands on there. It's also why you'll hear less of 60s classic rock.
