Foreigner is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Not sure how much clout to give them for passing on that band.

I-Heart Radio

quote:

Denny Laine, the only member of Wings to stick it out from beginning to end with Paul and Linda McCartney, says the band does not belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Speaking to the Austin Chronicle, Laine, who was just inducted as a founding member of The Moody Blues, says, "Wings was never a band. I’m sorry, it wasn’t. It was a Paul McCartney project... We weren’t like the Moody Blues, all equal members. It was Paul’s band. That’s the end of it... That’s why he got inducted as an individual artist. Wings is part of his induction, separately to the Beatles, actually."

I previously thought that George and Paul had the best solo careers, until I purchased/completed the entire Lennon collection on vinyl. "Lennon"...I believe it was released in 2021. A lot of his solo stuff was a bit out there, but after listening to his entire catalog from front to back, I came to the realization that he was still the best songwriter of the group.

...and his first two releases... Plastic Ono Band and Imagine are almost perfect albums.
