DJ at a charity function in Mandeville last saturday - WTF

I witnessed an elderly person request Frank Sinatra to the DJ who happens to be a prominent TD poster and the DJ said no

I'm not a big fan, but if I'm a DJ and someone requests something like Sinatra. Well, you give it to them.

depends on the situation imo. if everyone is drunk and on the dance floor dancing to something completely different, i wouldnt drop a sinatra song right then and there. maybe tell the guy you will play it a little later(and then probably dont play it 
)

it was at 2-3pm saturday at a crawfish boil in a state park with about 150 people there...i didnt have internet to download a shite song so i told him no

Good decision, people don't understand their selfish requests may be exactly what they want but you have to play to the full audience and keep a certain upbeat mood.
