When I try to come up with a ranking of my personal favorite/ best metal singers, I can never decide who to put at #1, because I cannot decide between Ronnie James Dio and Rob Halford. In my opinion, these are the two greatest metal singers to have ever sung.

I need your help guys. Out of these two legends, who comes out on top? There can really only be one… Metal God!

Halford is great but DIO is the GOAT. That little man had a behemoth voice.

Dio, but Dickinson’s got to be up there.

Bruce is incredible indeed! He is no doubt one of the greats. Let’s do a sub-comparison here for #3 after Dio and Halford. Dickinson or Geoff Tate?

Dio’s voice was operatic. I don’t think it’s even a contest.

Halford is probably a bottom but sings like he’s on top.

King Diamond is better than both.

I hate the band and the music..

But one of the best live vocalists I've heard was that fricker from Queensrÿche.

Eta

Geoff Tate

I love KD's falsetto piercing my balls as much as the next guy, but no.
