Under the Covid circumstances, it was really well done IMO. Check your Isbell politics at the door, and know Prine was right there too. I’ve loved Steve Earle shows regardless of where I stand on the spectrum.

The Bacon/Sedgwick duet was surreal, Kasey did a nice job, Sturgill nailed his part too.

It does remind me of how important his latest ACL show has ended up...watched it a dozen times since he passed.

When I saw the list of political loudmouths I chose not to watch. I didn't want to be preached to. I figured if that's not what it became then I will youtube it later

I only caught the last half or so, but there was no political messaging in the part I saw. It was all about John and his impact on people. I thought it was pretty well done. Could have done without the Eric Church and Bonnie Raitt part, but otherwise enjoyed it.

Sounds good to me. I'll watch it over the weekend at some point.

Eric Church yes, but Bonnie Raitt was fantastic.

I thought the whole thing was great. The non-singing "political loudmouths" just said something about him and introduced the next musical act. And seeing as Prine was pretty socially liberal himself, not sure why anyone would have been shocked if there was any kind of political commentary made.

Watching it now on youtube. Worth checking it out if you love Prine and current touring country/america musicians.

It's never less than stunning how some people are so constipated in the head they get things completely wrong.

Some of those were really good. Snider nailed Illegal Smile.

I just don't get Sturgill. He's in a spot in music were I should like most of what he does. I am still trying to find anything he's ever done that I like even a little bit.
