Anyone like these documentaries? I'm partial to The Metal Years one. Sex, drugs and rock n roll on full display.

The Metal Years documentary was pretty entertaining. The part where they interviewed Chris Holmes of W.A.S.P. while he was shitfaced in front of his mother was terrible. Everything else was good.

The Decline of the Western Civilization is awesome. I wore that VHS tape out. That soundtrack is burned into my head. The second one is OK too but the first one introduced me to X, Fear, Black Flag.

Great little peaks into music history, especially for millenials and younger. I enjoyed them all.

I watched parts 1 and 3 recently. Didn't really care for them, especially part 3. The Metal Years is by far the best.

I wish they would do a “where are the now?” For part 2. All the hair bands that didn’t make it when they said they had no plan B.

Also the live studio video of Megadeths “in my darkest hour” is totally bad arse.

Chris wasn’t guzzling vodka. The scene was completely scripted.

Also, Ozzy isn’t making breakfast in his kitchen. That’s on a Hollywood set.

I wore out the vinyl on the soundtrack to the first one. I got the box set with all of the movies when it came out. The 1st is my favorite, but the second movie is killer too. The stuff with the band on the sunset strip that didn't make it is classic. Also WASP was one of my favorite bands when this came out. Have yet to watch the third movie.

Yea love Part 1.. Lee Ving is the man.. also oddly enough it was Black Flag when Ron Reyes was the lead singer, which is probably a good thing because Henry Rollins would've just talked the whole time about Minor Threat should've been in the movie or who knows what..

Part 3 was good, it's more sad than anything though and gutter punk was never remotely on the verge of being anything more than super fringe.. she might as well have done it on grindcore bands like AxCx

Made me realize London was a complete joke. Look at all the millionaires who played in their 10 dollar bar tab band. But it does make you wonder.

AND some admin must really like Paul Stanley to delete my post in this. Hes a d bag!!!!

Look up Seduce on Spotify. 114 monthly listeners. Goes to show you not all L.A. bands whether they played the Troubadour, Whiskey, Cathouse, Roxy, etc had a huge disparity among them, despite all looking the exact same. Poison made it. Faster Pussycat sort of made it. Detroit Boys Seduce didnt. I do not think they were in it for the wrong reasons...which is why they didnt make it. Should have gone north to Canada and become another Triumph.

Yeah, I knew the vodka thing was a put on but just the idea of acting like a drunken a-hole in front of your mother was sad. It was disrespectful and I would never do that to my mom.
