Not much on this board for my genre. Surely we have some baws here that enjoy this as well.
Current album I'm wearing out is The Anthropocene Extinction by Cattle Decapitation. It's a whole lot more grindcore than death metal, but once I adjusted to their style the riffs outside of the grindcore stuff is amazing. And the guy's more melodic vocals fit perfectly. I can't listen to any of their earlier stuff, but this one doesn't have a bad song on it.
Cattle Decap - Apex Blasphemy

Yeah, the lead singer comes off extremely douchy to me. I just ignore it.

I can't get into CD. I just don't enjoy the sound nor the vocals. Nothing on that impresses me, just no.
I will say I'm a huge Deathcore fan, some metalcore, with alot of death metal, but there are certain bands I just can't listen to because I don't like their "sound."
ETA: For me, I'm intrigued on the new Chelsea Grin album. Tom Barber from Lorna Shore is now their vocalist, and the first track Dead Rose was a banger, I'm not too keen on the other 2. I can't wait to hear the rest of it.

There are lots of bands that have off sounds.
I'm surprised I got into it since I'm an old man and don't like most of the newer bands out there. It really takes some time to grow on you. But that said, anything they released before is unlistenable to me.
I've never given Chelsea a listen. Saw Lorna Shore last year and it was whatever. I'll have to check it out.
