Dax Riggs - 3/7 @ Rudyard's - Houston, TX

Dax is playing a show at Rudyard's the night of the LSU game at Minute Maid. LSU plays at 3, dax will probably start about 8 or 9. Tickets are $12 to the show.

I saw him in BR when he was touring as Deadboy and the Elephant Men several years ago and it was absolutely terrible. I literally walked out.

I've seen him several times. Once was a solo acoustic. All shows were really good.
I wish he'd put out a new album. It's been over 5 years I think since the last one.

Terrible drummer he must have been sleeping with. No energy. It was one of the most boring shows I've ever attended. The opening band absolutely stole the show.
ETA - To be honest, it seemed like he was smacked out of his gourd.

Heck no, I can't find tour dates booked out far enough to ever seen any dates in Baton Rouge when I look

That was his worst iteration of his deadboy monkier ever. I should know as well, me and moon (Sammy from Acid Bath's nephew) opened for his solo acoustic sets as well as "deadboy" when it was just Dax and Tessie Brunet (the big titted drummer chick who sucks at drumming and only had a 2 piece drum set) We opened his shows from the end of 2003-2004 and he continued with her until around 2006 I think.
After he ditched her and rebranded himself "Dax Riggs" and released 2 albums under that moniker and tours with a real band now, the quality has increased tremendously. I've always been partial to the guy, after becoming friends with him in 2001 and touring/running sound for him from 2002-2004. Dude is a raw vocal talent like no other.
Can't wait to catch up with him and reminisce about the old times.

He plays BR, Lafayette, and New Orleans 2-3 times each per year.
