That may (or may not) be going too far. He lost his grandfather in WW1 and his father in WW2, which could explain (partially) why he's so messed up.

You don’t have to like them, but what they did was incredible and influenced generations that followed them.
They are not everyone’s cup of tea, but they are not overrated.

Exactly.
Roger’s was a good bassist and while not a good singing voice, he had massive range. It was his lyrics that set him apart as special, however.
David played a smooth vocal counterpart to Water’s wild voice and was a guitar god, but had to rely on his wife to write lyrics after Rog left.
They were better together than apart.
