DAC is definitely one of the more unique country artists out there. I can't think of any other artist who, on the one hand writes beautiful and legendary country songs, and on the other hand, has written obscene songs, is covered in tattoos and earrings, and has performed on a country-metal album, ( with Dime and Vinnie from Pantera). But that's just what makes David Allan Coe who he is lol

I enjoy a lot if his music. He has written and recorded several great songs. Like the poster above me stated, he is a strange SOB and has some crazy shite out there too. I went to one of his shows and the entire thing was
Most of the racial/obscene shite was written when he was in prison so I don't judge him too much for it. The rest of the strangeness, I chalk it up to the drugs.

He did some good songs. Longhaired Redneck and You Never Even Called Me By My Name were my favorites.

First off it's Robison. Secondly, wtf does Charlie have to do with DAC? Not really the same kind of music. That's like somebody asking your opinion of Billy Joel and saying that you prefer Mel Torme.
what do y'all think of townes van zandt? he's ok, but i prefer 50 cent

That it's so incredulous if you don't believe he ain't country, that will happen to the Pope.

Now you're just being silly. Prefering 50 cent while Roy Acuff music is still available is assinine.

they both play bar room music.
DAC been coming to fayetteville forever and i really didn't know he had a following, so i was in NY and one of my country friends was up so i decided to get DAC tickets b/c he was in town (which surprised me) and it was sold out, i couldn't believe it. who knew he had a audience in the city.
speaking of bar music i saw corey smith last weekend for the first time, anybody a fan?
