IMO.

Hadn’t thought about this song in some time and was reminded of it tonight. One of the best covers you’ll hear if you ask me.

I don’t like it at all. Too mellow for me.

Well done but not my thing.

Edit: not my thing for Sweet Jane
The Rock and Roll Animal version is perfect to me.

That’s cool. Not for everyone I suppose. Mellow can be great sometimes though. Hell, check my history here and it’s mostly about metal. I do love some good mellow stuff too though if like you said, done well.

Me and the Devil Blues is my favorite cover they do. Mr State Trooper is pretty good too.

Thanks, you made me remember my ex wife took my Cowboy Junkies CD when she left 20 years ago, ruined my day.

Easily one of the best albums of it's era. "Sweet Jane" is just the starting point. I'd place "To Love Is To Bury", "Blue Moon" and "So Lonesome I Could Cry" as my preferred tracks.

And fellas, if you put this one on the sound system during a date and you still can't get laid, there's no hope for you. Failsafe panty dropper if there ever was one.

Love this song. Kept waiting for Woody and Juliette to start talking.

Of course Mazzy Star played right after Sweet Jane. Another great mellow song.
