She was a more talented, more attractive Taylor Swift who joined the biggest band on the planet. Yes, she would have made it big.

The only difference is that she would have perfected, rather than originated, this look:

Fleetwood Mac had seen better days when she and Buckingham joined.

Nicks also had a huge solo career after Mac so yes she would be successful if she came out today

Let's not get carried away here. They were a good band but not one of the top bands before she joined them.

That's a bit of a stretch.

Sure she could. Her songs wouldn't sound anything like they did, but her talent alone would give her a great chance. And BTW, I'm not a big fan of her singing.

Doubtful.

She was pretty, but not a glorified stripper like around 90% of current female pop singers. She wrote complex lyrics which wouldn't fly with the Disney channel kiddies who back most current pop singers. She was a rock musician, which is just about a dead art form and her vocal style wasn't cookie-cutter vanilla R&B.

Is there a market nowadays for the vocal stylings of slutty, coked-out Billy goats?

Tanya Tucker was more akin to Taylor.

Stevie is in a league of her own. She also took the partying to a rarified level. Made #1 hits while she and the rest of the band were wired for sound.
