I was listening to this the other day and admit that it is a guilty pleasure. Haven’t heard it in a very long time. Then the spoken “monologue” (which was Gene Simmons I guess?) comes on and I was afraid I might get pulled over and arrested just for having it play through the radio. It was the 70s and Kiss so I don’t think it was meant to be ironic, right? What a different time to be alive

There could be a whole thread on songs about banging underage girls but still tame when compared to WAP lyrics.

She's got me dizzy
She sees me through to the end
She's got me in her hands
And there's no use in pretending
Christine, sixteen
Christine, sixteen
She drives me crazy
I want to give her what I've got
And she's hot every day and night
There is no doubt about it
I don't usually say things
Like this to girls your age
(Christine, sixteen)
But when I saw you coming
Out of the school that day
That day I knew, I knew
I've got to have you, I've got to have you
(Christine, sixteen)
She's been around
But she's young and clean
I've got to have her
Can't live without her, whoa no

Here's Gene's original demo of the song. With Edward and Alex Van Halen on guitar and drums.

If you aren't aware of Gene's connection with VH when they were still an unsigned band, a Google search will supply a day's worth of reading.

Man, I was as big a KISS fan as anyone when I was a kid. But man, that song sucks (as did most of their songs post KISS Alive!.

But I’ll always have a soft spot for Gene, Paul, Ace, and Peter.

That is very interesting. Thanks for posting.

It doesn't have Gene's spoken and emphatic plea to Christine about the time he first spotted her walking out of school one day. A guy in his late 20's saying that to a HS sophomore seems wildly creepy today, but somehow it wasn't so bad back in the day.

Also, those are some very "conventional" leads by EVH.

Even at their "advanced" age, they put on a better show than most other bands.

Somehow KISS embodies everything that is right with RnR, and everything that is wrong with RnR simultaneously.

Exactly, and we never gave it a second thought at the time.

funny enough that song is not even the "dirtiest" on that album with Love Gun and Plaster Caster (great story behind this one) on it...

another great song released a few years before..

The Who 5:15

Girls of fifteen
Sexually knowing
The ushers are sniffing
Eau-de-coloning
The seats are seductive
Celibate sitting
Pretty girls digging
Prettier women
