I loved me some Whitecross in the late 80's

Pillar

Red - I saw them last April at the Smoothie King Center for winterfest. They were very good live.

I like Needtobreathe and skillet, I recently started listening to NF and like him alot, he sounds like a mix of Eminem and Macklemore

ETA Kings Kaleidoscope is also pretty dang good, Their song A Prayer is pretty controversial because he uses profanity but in the context he uses it I understand because I understand his pain in that song

I'd rather cut my own throat with a rusty tuna fish can than listen to Christian rock.

I am a Christian, go to Church every Sunday, and I despise Christian music

Its just bad music. No other way to spin it.

I've had fellow Christians tell me its wrong that I don't like it. My response is: If someone sang Christian lyrics to the sound of pots and pans falling down the stairs, would you still listen to it? Bad music is bad music and just because it has Christian lyrics doesn't make it good.

Not to mention - How many are in it for the money and how many are in it for the actual glorification of God. I've been to churches where getting onto the worship team was like a bunch of episodes of American Idol meets the Bachelor. So much infighting and drama over being on the damn worship team. Most of them just wanted to advance their own musical interests.

I dont think there is anything wrong with not liking it if your a christian, Im a devout Christian but I think alot of the music is hokey and that doesnt make me any less of a Christian, I personally dont care for K-Love because they play the same songs over and over.

The things I want my rock music to be don't exactly jive with christian themes. Just like the things I use my worship music for don't really jive with rock sounds.

Christian Rock Station

Check out For Today, they broke up, but both of their CDs are really good. And Matty puts it down.
