Im excited, i should get to see 3 shows this tour. Geneva, ny, the night before the lsu/syracuse game, tips and the varsity.

I was gonna drive to memphis for the 7/31 show, but ill probably go see mmj now instead.

Well worth seeing multiple shows for a band like this.

I listen to a ton of crb, they are one of my favorite bands. Ive seen them only twice in nola, but i saw the crowes over 40 times. I think crb is better than the crowes.

I went through a long phase where I called The Black Crowes my favorite band. I was such a big fan that at the wise old age of 22, it seemed like a good idea to get some of the artwork that I received in a letter from the fan club permanently tattooed on my fricking body. I still listen to the first 3 records regularly. On vinyl. I cannot stand any of the other Chris Robinson projects. Just my own stupid, worthless opinion.

I found a picture last week where I am 13 and wearing a Crowes shirt. Circa 1989-90.

I love the way crb jams, it's extremely psychedelic. Neal and adam lead the way.

The last few years, perhaps. But the period of TBC that included Marc Ford's first run kicks the ever loving shite of anything that Karaoke Chris will ever again achieve in his lifetime. I love Neal Casal, for the record. Just not in this setting.

Marc ford was great when he wasnt all noodled out on dope.

Crb takes jams places, the crowes never did that.

Not sure what you want from neal, he slays in crb and opens up WAY more than he ever did with ryan adams.

Hadn't heard yet,but like the crowes. I'm going to give them a listen. Seems like it'd be a good show

Please tell me it was this one.

They've been up there for me also since I first saw them live early 90's.

I'm more of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th

Cannot be stated enough. It sort of bothers me that now they're lumped into this "jam" band when early on they weren't. I like CRB and yes, if you like the jam band vibes and playing then I can see how you would prefer CRB, but give me the 2, 3, 4 albums any day over CRB.

One thing that really pains me to admit though is Adam MacDougal is actually an upgrade in talent over Eddie Harsch. Dude is pretty freaking awesome.

If that's your thing you want. I really dont with my Crowes. I never got the impression Rich wanted to go for that and he never seemed too comfortable going that route. I still think he writes better riffs. Now that said, their recent extended jam of wiser time is badass.
