They were a band of pure musicians.....which is why they finally broke up. But yea, I need to pull out.......well.....google some of their stuff again.

It's still not Chicago. Having some original members is great.....almost half. But the guys missing .......pretty important. But Journey has a phillipino dude that's as good as Steve perry. So go sell those tickets. Cha Ching.

4 of the originals since 1967. What other band can claim this? (Ok, I just saw the Moody Blues and will soon see Fleetwood).
And the Cetera guy has been there since '85.
When they play a concert, and start off with Make Me Smile, they sound original.

IMO as long as the horn section is original, it's Chicago.

<-------- This guy appreciates the Kath love. Terry never got the respect he deserved IMO. The voice was full of soul and his chops were stellar. Hendrix loved Kath.
The following are two examples of Terry's greatness. First shows the guitar chops; second his vocals in a solo outing. If you like early Chicago, check out Chicago at Carnegie Hall (1971). Terry is all over that album.
