Charlemagne Records closing doors after 42 years

Unless you spent time on Birmingham’s south side, you have probably never heard of Charlemagne Record Exchange. I spent a good bit of my high school years sorting through and listening to used vinyl albums there. If you are in the Birmingham area and want to build up your vinyl collection, looks like they have everything at 50% off.

Sucks. I used to pop in there every now and again in the long ago. But their niche is vanishing.

Lots of fond memories of Charlemagne. It was the hippest record store in town for many, many years. Was the go to place when I was a kid.
