Had been a subscriber since near the start of Apple Music, but I have long found their playlist algorithm lacking. It started out that I felt like it really introduced me to new music or brought back old music I had forgotten about, but over the last 6-12mos the playlists built were stagnant and lacked creativity.

Anyone else had similar experience? I have started using Spotify (free) and feel like I am again finding some new tunes.

Just today I cancelled YT Music for the same reasons. Doesn't matter what you search, always wants to go back to the most popular and repetitive songs. Put on Keith Whitley's I'm No Stranger to the Rain, two songs later it's playing Luke Bryan. Play Piece by Piece by Slayer, and a few songs later it's You Give Love a Bad Name for the 1000th time

Spotify offered me a 60 day trial and it already appears much better

Spotify and YT, and I assume iTunes have full albums. You don't have to do the recommended playlist thing. It's just whatever I'm in the mood for

I got a push notification from Apple Music just this morning that said “we’ve changed, come back to Apple Music and get 3 months on us.” They know they suck.

I've used all of them and Spotify is probably the best all around.

Pandora's full-paid subscription (to get complete on demand like Apple/Spotify/etc., not just ad skipping) is really good because it has the best algos and a really intuitive app but it lacks some features and some artists/albums.
