yeah, to me there were a few WTF moments in 90's indie rock and that album was one

Superchunk: Tossing Seeds (collection of singles)
Pavement: Slanted and Enchanted
Archers of Loaf: Icky Mettle
Built to Spill: There is Nothing Wrong With Love
Neutral Milk Hotel: Aeroplane Over the Sea

probably a few others you can throw in there like Slint's Spiderland and Grifter's Crappin' You Negative... as well as a personal favorite Wheat's Hope and Adams... but the 5 I listed, were universally "Holy shite" albums... others may agree or disagree...

I'd love to include A Series of Sneaks by Spoon... but the way Elektra handled the release and dumped them was too awkward and then the album became OOP until Merge re-released it in the 90s

02 I think you mean. Was supposed to have been properly released in 98, right?

yes, I meant the 00s...

Also, on that re-release you get the incredible bonus tracks dedicated to Ron Lafitte (Elektra A&R Rep that signed them)... that were released on 7" prior..

Lafitte Dont Fail Me Now & Agony of Lafitte... brilliant!

I don't know the titles to any of their stuff. But Ive seen them twice and they can be a pain in the arse to watch. Way too much tuning between songs.
