This is an instrumental I never seem to tire of. It's also the only song that has ever gotten me wanting to play each and every part.

Sina on drums. This is just fun to watch.

The bass covers are pretty boring, so here's some concert footage with the bassist going crazy.

Dude doing everything but drums.

It’s been such a long time since I’ve heard that. I can still smell the bong water on the wet shag carpet in the back of the Chevy van with this blasting through the Craig speakers.

Impressive. Not to derail but simply to add to....one guy does entire Rush Permanent Waves album - all instruments every song including vocals. From Nashville area and toured w/Queen as backup drummer. Amazing covers

That last 2 minutes of Hitch a ride just puts a smile on my face every time. So damn good

It is, for me, the signature grand arena rock sound from the late 70s.

An uptempo, American response to the (largely British) progressive rock sound, you can almost smell the cocaine.

When I get my vinyl set up going later this year - the Boston album will likely be second up (after Pyromania, of course), mainly for More than a Feeling, but this track (along with its companion piece) is my second favorite from Boston.

I have a buddy who has been a semi-professional guitar player (including session work on some niche recordings with not insignificant sales numbers) since the mid-1970s. He recalls the first time he heard "More than a Feeling". He had to pull over, stop the car and listen.

I repped you for Chevy van, not for the obvious “long time.” :)

God that low-end the bassist gets is so well-rounded, but still fat and thumping.

Arrived at high school many a morning, falling out of a smoke-filled car with this song blaring. Good times.

The part where the bass is solo actually has a clavinet doubling it leading to that wicked sound. You can get close to that sound with the right bass setup and effects, but can’t get quite to that actual sound.

I guess that's why all the youtube bass covers are underwhelming.

Constantine does a bass cover and he doesn’t even play that part of it.
