Dammit I’m gettin old. One of my first heavy big arena shows along with April Wine earlier that year. I was absolutely hooked on live rock shows from this point on.

Foghat opened and was good but BOC came on afterward and just blew the place away. Amazing Sunday night of rock at the Centroplex.

Who else was there?

Was there. Kinda remembering seeing BOC a couple of times that year in BR if my memory serves me right. Great live show. Go! Go! Godzilla!

BOC are very underrated. One of my favorites is this little ballad/ditty thingy:

In Thee

Saw Rush open for BOC at the warehouse in 77 sometime during Marci Gras.

VERY underrated. Enormous catalogue of great music and Joe Blow on the street knows maybe three of their songs.

In Thee is fantastic.

Yep. Extremely versatile band too. Multiple singers, styles.

I saw the same but in reverse order in the mid 80's. BOC opened for Rush in my hometown and it was a good show all around

Didn’t we have a concert ticket stub thread years ago? Damn, I’d like to dig up those old stubs and post them. Great memories. So many of us guys were obviously at those same shows.

Btw, if that’s a VH ticket above, was there, too. Some awesome bands came thru BR back in the day.

I was at the BOC/Foghat show and the Van Halen show as well. I think that was the Fair Warning tour.
Also saw some amazing ZZ Top shows during that era.

I also love the deep tracks off of Fire of Unknown Origin (the title cut is great) - Veteran of the Psychic Wars and Joan Crawford.

Was there. Ran like a bandit to our spot upfront. Puff puff pass was in full effect….Van Halen, Boston, Styx all hit BR back in the day

Saw BOC about a month ago in a small theater and I enjoyed the hell out of it. There was no opening act and BOC played over 2 hours. Only 2 original members but they killed it. Highly recommended. If you like Blue Oyster Cult, you WILL enjoy the show. Buck Dharma is the man!!!!
