Any of y'all into Blaze Foley ? He led a very interesting life and how he died was really sad. Pretty good documentary on his life and music on YouTube and Tubi.
I really like watching music documentaries, and this one was very good.

Big fan of Blaze. If you've never seen the Tales From the Tour Bus on him you need to check it out. Quality stuff.

Great, underrated artist. Prine covered this one. His version was better but without this one there would not be one to copy.

That whole album is great ! His songs are not real complicated to play (which I like, being an amateur guitarist), but they just sound good, and his lyrics run the range from funny to very sad and revealing of his personal life.

This is one of my favorites.

Billy strings covers a few of blaze foley’s songs and does a really good job with them. Dude had a pretty rough life mostly self inflicted damage

This show was so great. I wish Mike Judge would make more seasons of it.
That show actually introduced me to Blaze Foley.

Yea but he uses more of his Hank Hill voice. At least it's not Boomhauer

I love Blaze Foley, I have even visited his grave south of Austin. That is a pretty good documentary about him.
I cover one or two of his songs when I play open mics. I have one up on my youtube channel.

That's pretty cool. Crazy that Townes Van Zandt dug up his body to get a pawn ticket for his guitar.
What songs did you cover ?

I agree, I usually don't like sappy love songs but it's a good one.
