Very good roadhouse country. Lots of Texas country and roadhouse blues influence. Anyone looking for upbeatx, twangy alt-country should check them out.

I saw them a couple of weeks ago.
They may have played one of the most absolutely average shows I've ever seen.
I've seen Lynyrd Skynyrd. They're not.
But an average live music show is better than no show at all.

I gave them an honest chance. I had them on the Ipod for more than a month. Some songs are tolerable. But the "keep the party rockin' til the break of dawn" lyrics are just a small example of their cliched cheesiness.

They opened at rodeo, but I can't really say much about them other than I remember them playing lots of covers.

There was a thread earlier about it. I like them but agree a few songs can get stereotypical or cheesy. Really like Son of the Bourbon

I haven't listened to all their albums in their entirety so I can't say if that's the case for me or not but I can say that they sound much more like a band now than previous efforts. The sound is more cohesive and everyone seems to have found their place within the band. One thing lacking.... Great backup and harmony vocals

AA isn't exactly upbeat, I've been a fan for about 5 years and own every album. They are way more dark and definately not "party" music.

Listened to the record again on my drive this morning and I heard isbell on a few tracks and Caitlin Cary (whiskeytown) on a few as well.. But yeah, live, there are no backing vocals..
