read all about it on dead.net and watch the david lemieux video. this is historic news and these are historic shows, especially the 2 dates at red rocks

if you have any interest in the grateful dead, this box is a must own. if you arent on the bus, and you'd like to be baptised, you could hardly do better than this

07/01/78 kansas city
07/03/78 st paul
07/05/78 omaha
07/07/78 red rocks
07/08/78 red rocks

the 2nd night at red rocks is in many people's opinion a top-5 all time show

That's so long ago that it seems like Mozart.

That's awesome. I haven't listened to a lot of 78 shows. If I listen to late 70s, it's usually a 77 show. That 7/8 setlist is nearly perfect. If you replace Ship of Fools with Jack Straw to end the first set, then it probably would be perfect.

Just ordered.

I accidentally started a thread on the O-T with this---I hope the friendly folks over there don't beat me up too badly

Mods may move it to the MB....so if you see it---no Germans crap

Hopefully they toned down Donna in the remastered pressings!!

I am hoping the single show release will be done on LP (7800 pressings) as well as digital.
