Toss up for me even though I find myself listening to SOTT more. Probably because songs from Purple Rain are everywhere all the time already.

Sign O' the times is better, but my favorite album by the best musician ever is Parade (Under the cherry moon).

Sign is a razor edge better. My favorite is his youtube Capitol Theatre concert recorded in 1982.

Sign O The Times is an amazing compilation of tunes. Back in the day it was the best long drive CD set ever. One of Prince's best. Dirty Mind and 1999 up there as well.

I'd put 1999 over all of them. SOTT is the best lead off tune of all his albums though.
