Does anybody remember the now rather-obscure "Flying Turkey Trot". Pimp Jr plays a mean Flying Turkey Trot. That deserves to be resurrected.

And this was my favorite riff of 1978, "Take it off the top" by The Dixie Dregs (Steve Morse). LINK

Can´t You Hear Me Knocking
Bang a Gong, Get It On
Jump Into the Fire
Monkey Man
Jumping Jack Flash
Honky Tonk Woman
Rocks Off
On Down the Line
Satisfaction
You Really Got Me
Funk 49

Many more, but it´s clear, off the bat and without thinking, the riff king is Keef...

Credit that one to Joe Walsh. He wasn't the most prolific, but he did produce some classic riffs. Turn To Stone and Rocky Mountain Way are both easily recognizable from the riffs that introduce each song.

in the eagles' documentary he said the riff from life in the fast lane was something he had always done to "warm up" .

Groundhogs, "Cherry Red"

Another Groundhogs fan!

To which I add:
1. "Satisfaction"--No. 1 all-time riff
2. "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida"
3. "Paranoid"
