I have to make CDs for my car since I don't have an aux cable and the radio is severly limited
Anyways, I was browsing my "car playlists" (I make one for each month) and here are the highlights:
Doobie Brothers-Rockin' Down the Highway
Allman Bros.-Blue Sky
Allman Bros.-Ramblin' Man
The Music Explosion-Little Bit O' Soul (because I love doing air drums in the car
)
Led Zep-Travelling Riverside Blues
King of the Road-Roger Miller
Stealers Wheel-Stuck in the Middle With You
The Eagles-Take it Easy
The Eagles-Hotel California
Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show-Cover of the Rolling Stone
Grateful Dead-Shakedown Street
Grateful Dead-Touch of Grey
Grateful Dead-Sugaree
Grateful Dead-Sugar Magnolia
Grateful Dead-Friend of the Devil
Grateful Dead-Fire on the Mountain
Alabama-Tennessee River
The Marshall Tucker Band-Can't You See
Merle Haggard-Pancho and Lefty
Dire Straits-Sultans of Swing
Dire Straits-Water of Love
Dire Straits-Walk of Life
Dire Straits-Money for Nothing
Dire Straits-Telegraph Road
America-Sister Golden Hair
Jimmie Vaughan-Six Strings Down
Led Zeppelin-All My Love
CCR or Tina Turner-Proud Mary
John Denver-Take Me Home Country Roads
Johnny Cash-Sunday Morning Coming Down
(Really any Johnny Cash song)
Eric Clapton and BB King-Hold on! I'm Comin'
(Really anything from the Riding With the King album)
Jim Croce-Bad, Bad Leroy brown
Doobie Brothers-Black Water
Pink Floyd-Another Brick in the Wall

Probably one of our old favorite urban cruising tunes was Drivers Seat - Sniff N the tears.

It's perfect at night, IMO.
Brandy, you're a fine girl is one I love to play any time I'm driving, but especially near a body of water.

I'm partial to Derek and the Dominoes, Layla album on road trips. Especially the 20 minute jams on the re-release. And pretty much any other Duane Allman guitar work.
