I was doing some wikapedia-ing a few days ago, and I read that the bass line to that song was first thought of and played by Yorke, not Greenwood.

I thought it was kind of funny that Radiohead's most famous bassline was not created by the bass player



Another incredible bassline that always blows my mind is the bass line from Stevie Wonder's I Wish. I bet it was a "holy shite that was awesome" moment when they first came up with that melody.
