Worst- Pearl Jam UNO about '96 too much crap in the blood stream that night.

No way that was '96. You might be talking about the three nights they did there in '93 or Tad Gormley stadium in '95.

Me too, but disappointed that they weren't good.
At least to that guy.
I love that band, and really hope they come around again.

Best
Foringner at the old MudBugs saloon in gretna back in late 90's. Cindarella was also great in this small venue.

Worst

Aerosmith's Pump Tour at UNO. they decided not to allow achahol to be sold at any stops on this tour because they where all recovering addicts. All you could by at the arena was O' douls near beer even though the concert was sponsored by Budwieser.
I saw them on their previous tour stop in New Orleans for the Permanant Vacations tour with Dokken and I was totally blown away by Aerosmith and their 2-hour performance. they allowed achahol to bve sold on that tour.

They can be pretty hit or miss, Brian can be damn moody. When I saw them at the HOB in NOLA he yelled at some dude in the front row for yawning or some shite...it was crazy! I'm guessing the dude had camped out all day/night and was just tired.

I was actually watching their recent live DVD some last night.

Best – Alkaline Trio in the basement of a church without A/C on a hot summer night. Half the crowd dropped from heat exhaustion, but the show was unbelievable. ’97 was a damn near religious experience.

Worst- Elton John. I had heard he was a great live act and I was really excited to see him, but… maybe I just saw him on an off night. He was lousy and disinterested.

Best: Linkin Park
Worst: Limp Bizkit (Fred Durst was horrible, walked around singing that blue eyes song and he was booed, then cursed out some folks)

I saw Limp Bizkit at the Warped Tour before they hit it big. He kept yelling at the crowd and we were like, "frick you, We're only here because we're waiting for the Descendents to play. Shut up." They were abjectly terrible. Just an awful, awful show. I intentionally left off bands I don't like anyway at festivals for worst show ever -- but they were among the worst things I've ever seen.

Was that the same Zephyrfest with Matthew Sweet, Bush, Catherine Wheel, hHead, and The Caufields?

that was 95...my first concert ever, I was 14. Phunk Junkeez, Dead Eye Dick and 7 Mary 3 played that day as well.

Goldfinger played in 96 with Everclear, the Posies, Dog's eye view and some others

Don't be. They opened for Stabbing Westard, who blew them away.

They were too static-oriented and it wasn't good static like My Bloody Valentine. They were too loud for their own good -- only a 3 piece.

I've been to a ton of concerts so this one is hard to pick for the best:

My top 4 in no particular order:

1) The Mars Volta - HOB 2007 "An Evening With Mars Volta" 2.5 hours of music bliss
2) Ian Moore - Grant Street Dance Hall - either 2001 or 2002, can't remember. I've seen Ian Moore live 7 times, this was by far his best show.
3) Pearl Jam - NOLA - 2002 I think. I've seen them seven times as well. Hard to pick my favorite show.
4) Andrew Bird - HOB 2008

Worst:

Modest Mouse - HOB 2007. I actually like MM a lot. This show was more about their sound guy than anything. Too much feedback on the amps, one guitar was constantly ringing. It really made for a bad show. First show I ever wanted to "end now", but stayed for it all. MM came back a few months later and my brother went to this show as well (came with me to the first one) and loved it. Sound issues were fixed, etc.

Worst surprise: Neil Young at the Assembly Center in early 70's. too drunk to play. great seats, high expectations, lousy music

Why was Van Morrison so bad? That's disappointing.

worst: Incubus at UNO for the civic tour. phantom planet owned them

I was at this show and I had a friend of mine saying the same thing. I think it's because they played very little of their old stuff at the time and played their entire new CD.

I loved it. I thought the acoustic set they did with the furniture and couches was awesome.
