I'm looking to maybe get a vintage Rickenbacker 325 like Lennon had - any advice from anyone?

Yeah. I spoke to a shop on the West Coast yesterday. They said, according to their research, only ~30 of the 1958 models were ever made - and likely only 2 or 3 in Maple Glow (Lennon's original color, he later converted it to black).

Crazily, they have the 2nd one! (The other presumably owned by Lennon's estate or some such). They didn't quote me a price, but said they got it last year from some collector guy and it was "at least hundreds of thousands".
