While I'm sure this will be a great show I wish it was at the Joy or Orpheum.
Avett is a band best listened to in a small theater. I'm worried it will be a chat fest similar to Sturgill. With that being said I'm still not going to pass up a chance to see them in a beautiful setting.

Jason Isbell at the Joy was a perfect room size and fan enthusiasm for the show. I would like to see Avett in that same setting.
Regardless, I guess I'll have to check out their latest album now. I didn't give it a chance after I heard the first thirty seconds of the single from the album.

Quite interesting since their Champion's Square show was packed and that hold about 10K depending on setup.
I wish it was at Orpheum too as it drives me nuts to be in a seated row on the floor for shows. Went to Isbell and just didn't thoroughly enjoy the Joy's setup.

You're not missing anything special. Find the live versions of the new album's songs. They are lightyears better.

Same shite as Sturgill. Everything gets taken up within seconds. All that's available are balcony right now.
ETA: found some floor tickets but $100 a ticket for an Avett show is STEEP.

Just bought the last two tickets on the front row for my wife as a Christmas gift. I hope she doesn't kill me when she sees how much I paid. She really likes them and heck, you only live once. We make 20 years this January and we just had twins so we need a night out! Looking forward to the show.
