Decent. I am looking to get over to the record store today. I have been meaning to pick up Isbell's new album and maybe a couple of others.

The Ponderosa Stomp Record Show is at the AC Hotel in NO this week if anyone is interested. I hear it's going to be more geared to collectors than the typical record raid.

The story behind the guy that started that is amazing!

Been following the thread for a while, time to throw my hat in the ring. Sorry for the shitty picture.

Just picked up the new Yo La Tengo album. It's mostly covers with a few of their songs mixed in. Given it a few spins already, really good stuff and would recommend it. Perfect rainy day soundtrack.

I've been digging the new YLT record too.The acoustic version of Deeper Into Movies is my favorite. I still prefer the original but it's cool to hear the melody come to the forefront after being buried under all that distortion.

Their cover of The Cure's "Friday I'm in Love" is great

I'd never even heard of it. How many years has the show been going?

Absolutely, the stripped down version is fantastic.

Listening to some Toro Y Moi as I work around the house today. Another solid record, The flight is probably my favorite off the album.

I've acquired a bunch of LP's from the back storage of a radio station (mostly 70's stuff, much of it very obscure, e.g. duds that no one wanted to listen to).

What is the best way of keeping these LP's clean, or cleaning them before you listen to them?

I've been using an older system but I assume there is something better.

For all of my records, I'll run them through a spin clean (check amazon) and then transfer them to some static free sleeves. It's rudimentary compared to some of the fancy cleaners, but it works well enough for me. You can definitely hear a noticeable difference on really dirty used records.

Right now I only have a static brush. I don't have any means of cleaning my LP's. I really need to get something though.
