Heads up guys. Acoustic Sounds is running a sale with many Blue Note Classics and Tone Poets as low as $10. Adele for $6 LOL
Holy crap... thanks!
It goes to 11, lol... and ok I couldn't resist the $6 Adele just for my wife or friends who want to hear something mainstream.
Edit: Geez this is on top of a Dusty Groove order I just placed yesterday. Gonna need to take a week off work!

Lol. My apologies to your wallet. I thought I was fairly well behaved, all things considered…….

Yeah there were some others that I might have ordered, Andrew Hill, Charlie Hunter etc but have long had the CDs. I think only the Herbie Nichols & Don Cherry replicate at least part of what I have in box sets.
For you, 45acp & river_man... if you aren't checking Dusty Groove you should add it to your list. Lots of cool jazz, funk, and other stuff that is not common, not on streaming, and maybe unique. They have a lot of compilations of rare or unreleased stuff, and their own label. Here's what I ordered on Monday:
Muhal Richard Abrams featuring Malachi Favors — Sightsong - LP
Budos Band — V - LP
Various — As-Shams Archive Vol 1 -- South African Jazz, Funk, & Soul 1975 to 1982 - LP
Prince Lasha Ensemble — Insight - CD
Joe McPhee — Black Is The Color -- Live in Poughkeepsie & New Windsor 1969/1970 - CD
Various — Funky Funky New Orleans Vol 1 -- Rare & Unreleased Recordings Of New Orleans 70's Funk - CD
Various — J Jazz 2 – Deep Modern Jazz From Japan 1969 to 1983 (with bonus track) - CD

Wish I would have caught you guys before you ordered…
Point of Departure is an absolute game changer, dead quiet pressing
Expansions & Inner Urge are right there also.
Nice sale
Props on the Bud Powell- the drums are crazy good!

Those are big time classics/favorites. I am trying to keep my duplication down a bit as I am out of space and back to college mode of records on the floor leaning against stuff, lol.
I am looking at suggestions from Target and elsewhere; lots of cheap stuff that just looks flimsy but this bookshelf looks a bit more solid.

That looks nice. I will say, while cheap, the target brand storage has held up for me just fine. I have one 9 cube, 2 six cubes and 2 two cubes. One of the two cubes is stacked on a six cube and it supports all the weight just fine.
Gonna checkout Dusty Groove btw. Follow the Light in the Attic blog as well for more hidden obscure gems. LINK

I was able to exercise a little more self-control than you guys fortunately, but still picked up a few...
Joe Henderson / Inner Urge
Bud Powell / Time Waits: The Amazing Bud Powell
Don Wilkerson / Preach Brother!
Andrew Hill / Point Of Departure
Edit - Disregard the self-control statement. I picked up some salsa and samba LPs from dusty groove.

So, I did a thing yesterday... exercising ZERO self control lol.
Long story short, I got back into vinyl in 2019 via a good deal on a great VPI turntable, and have enjoyed getting some nice reissues and new releases and listening. But for a few reasons I ended up not completely enamored of the VPI (it's kinda finicky) and ended up checking out reviews and lusting over the recent Technics SL-1200G, which is the souped up audiophile version of the legendary SL-1200 DJ oriented line. I really wanted the black version, the 1210G. Started looking around but they are out of stock everywhere.
Ended up talking to my local shop to see what options were available to attempt to order, and on the 3rd conversation something totally unexpected happened - they discovered a stray silver unit that had been sitting NIB on a shelf for a year. Then the shocker: they were willing to cut a deal and discount it just over 25%. Picking it up this weekend after setup & mount of my cartridge on it. Would have preferred the black version but nobody has a clue when they will be available, and at an unexpected discount I am not that picky. Can't wait to start checking it out soon.
