Dude…

You’re getting great recs in here and you’re being pissy about it.

Listen to what people are telling you and make a decision.

You want to stream and get the best sound…. You need a good integrated amp, a good streamer, quality internet (I have fiber/ethernet),
Good quality speakers and good cables. If you want to play some vinyl you’ll need a phono and a turntable and more cables.

If you’re willing to spend some cash on it…. Ask Marco to build you one out with a budget. He’s a virtual encyclopedia of gear info.

I have a quad Vena integrated, vandersteens, VPI nomad and a Bluesound node. I don’t need a phono b/c it’s built into the Nomad. I don’t have super crazy cables but they are upper range in the audioquest line. I got a good deal on them through musicdirect and my man Rodger. He has since retired though…

Can’t seem to get an answer here.

That's because audio is subjective. Each of us has our own likes and needs. There's probably no one on this site that has heard that Musical Fidelity streamer, including yourself. So, we can only look at the specs and trusted reviews and make comments on what we would look for in a component.

You're probably not going to get the best streaming sound from a $500 Streamer/DAC combo but depending on your listening needs it might be good enough. The strong point of steaming is convivence and depth of catalog.

There are audiophiles who spend $100K on their digital input side and say the sound quality matches their $100K analog inputs. Personally, my ears probably can't hear the difference and even if they did, my pocketbook wouldn't allow me to splurge like that. I'm happy with my modest system and enjoy the music.

or can I get one piece of equipment that has both?

NAD Master Series M33. Premap, amp, streamer and has an HDMI input. Again, this is what I use and I'm really liking a rack with only two pieces of gear in it.

Sorry, don’t mean to be pissy. Actually my frustration is directed to myself.
And I do appreciate all the advice and suggestions I’m getting here.

What I’ve read about the Music Fidelity dac/streamer is you would have to spend thousands to get a better sounding one. I’m good with that.

The Bluesound node would be fine also I’m sure.

Thank you for the suggestions.

Home alone tonight. Liquid dinner, illegal desert and spin some tunes all night. Been a long week. Start with ObC just to set the mood.

If you are a big fan of Hall & Oates, like I am, this is a great album.

Daryl Hall is awesome to listen to. Greatly under appreciated.

So far, so good. Pressings seem to be good quality, and the selections are enjoyable, and titles I may not have otherwise bought, which in my mind is the point of this whole exercise.

Brand X- Unorthodox Behavior
Passport Records- 1976

A little Jazz Rock on this dreary arse day. Oh yeah, featuring no other than, Mr. Phillip Collins on drums. Anyone that thinks Phil is a mediocre player needs to listen to this record. So under appreciated imo.

Also just an unbelievable sounding recording btw
