Korn “Self-Titled”, 2014 Music On Vinyl reissue.
Quit listening to these guys after the first few albums, but this debut will always be a gem for me. They had a sound all their own. Brings me back to a great time in life.

Hadn’t posted an update in a bit. Moved the 901s to the other available wall I had, still not ideal placement but sounds better than when I had everything real close.

Two issues. They’re supposed to be 2-3 feet out from the wall. Second issue. 8 of the 9 drivers are on the rear of the speakers. Curtains behind them is a no-no. It will suck up the sound that’s supposed to be reflecting into the room.
Those are extremely difficult speakers to place correctly in a room. I’m not going to get into the whole Bose thing. My thoughts on their speakers are known. It is great that you took a vintage speaker and restored it. Very cool.

I’m aware, at this point that’s the only option for a wall/placement I have right now. I realize I’m not getting the best out of them that I can but until we move this will have to do. Aside from the window/curtains, and console in the middle they’re actually within the recommended specs you had linked a few pages back.

Hey Marco you know anything about Lumin products? I’ve been looking at upgrading my bluesound node, and I think I’ve narrowed it down to the Lumin D2 dac/network streamer. Their products seem to be fairy well regarded according to the reviews I’ve found.
Any other products you’d recommend looking at that are both streamer & dac in one, under 3k?

Made in Jacksonville, FL...guy is about 35-40 years old. A few different levels...they also stream video in 4K as well as hi-res audio. They are kinda unique in that they have a built in browser which allows you to get out to other websites and stream video (live Phish, YouTube, Amazon, Nugs,...anything!)—-that is pretty damn versatile.
Another big plus is that it is “Roon Ready”—once you use Roon as a library system, you will never go back to anything else.
The other one I am looking at is the Lampizator Komputer, but it is around $7500–made in Poland....it is also Roon Ready.

Does it bother you in the least that the arrows on the shipping crate are pointing down? Even if that’s OK, I’m sure they are real easy to just flip over.

Nah...the 2 crates were bolted together on a pallet and were laying on their side in shipment. They are padded top and bottom. They are both upright now.
