Apparently one of the biggest bands in the world. Maybe even bigger than Mutemath.

They've headlined Madison square garden, opened the Olympics and have been nominated for a Grammy twice.

While they may not be the biggest band in the world they're damn sure huge and the biggest act that the varsity is liable to get any time soon.

All I hear is how big they are but I really never hear anything about them. Are they good?

If you like indie rock from the UK then yes they're very good

Go listen to:

I bet that you look good on the dance floor
Fluorescent Adolescent
Crying Lightning.

I know you're making a joke acting like I made mutemath to be the biggest band in the world (just hyping the show) but
arctic monkeys are absolutely one of the biggest bands in the world

headlining glasonbury over the rolling stones... that's pretty big...

Biffy Clyro is headlining this festival over NIN. Are they one of the biggest bands in the world, or just one of the biggest bands in England? Or am I just so far out of the loop that some band I've never heard of is actually bigger than NIN? I think Artic Monkeys popularity in America is overblown.

That may be so but getting one of England's biggest bands is still a HUGE pull for The Varsity.

between them coldplay, razorlight, and daft punk, they are europes biggest bands. I don't think you can group daft punk into the "band" category though.

I honestly never heard them. Gave it a shout as I do with most music from this board.

I think its good. Checked out their first album on youtube this morning.

Their first album was really great. The old bassist was a beast.
