That Jaimie Branch record is GREAT. Holy crap... I went to streaming to pull up "borealis dancing", went to the album (which I had missed being posthumously released) and couldn't stop listening. Some Don Cherry vibes at times, incredible grooves, I'm loving it but also a little pissed again that she's gone.

Did you know that many local libraries offer access to a website that allows you to download jazz music for free?

My recommendations

1. Miles Davis Live at Carnegie Hall. Has a lot of Kind of Blue on it but fresher and more uptempo.

2. Trane and Monk Live at Carnegie Hall

3. Black Saint and Sinner Lady

4. Monk in Paris Live at the Olympia.

5. Duke Ellington at Newport 1956

6. The Great Summit: Duke & Louis Armstrong

7. Count Basie and Sinatra Live at the Sands. Sinatra considered the best jazz singer of all time.
