I saw Potliquor play for a big Edwin Edwards inauguration party in the 70's and at the Warehouse in New Orleans early 70's. They broke up. I never knew why. They had one great hit record nationally. I do remember. What happened to them?

I heard the singer went the Christian music route.
In the early 80's, the Lead Guitarist for Pot Liquor and the Drummer for Maniaxe (RIP Carl Durham) rented the house across the street. The parties and rehearsals were epic.

Man, what a venue that was. So glad I experienced a lot of great shows there!

Did you see the original Allman Brothers New Years eve at the warehouse, before any died in accidents? DUANE WAS STILL ALIVE. It was 1970 or 1971. They played from 11:00 until about 3:00 in the morning. Was unreal live like that. Foghat opened.

George Ratzlaff was pretty much the heart and soul of the band but was also a devout christian. He had issues with the duality of the rock lifestyle vs his theological beliefs. Secure a copy of Levee Blues if the op ever arises. Great rekkid!

Levee Blues, still one of my favorite albums. Leon Medica's bass is outstanding on that album. I just wish I could sit down and bang the piano part to "The Train". But, the drum piece to the hit from that album ("Cheer") is a classic.
See Louisiana Leroux for many of the artist of Potliquor
