Saw him last night in Decatur AL. Brought my teenage daughters to see him for the first time.

Robert Earl is 65 now, all those years and nights on the road has got to be tough. He has slimmed down a good bit, which is a good thing.

I have seen him play a number of times, this was the least energetic and engaged he has been. He kind of just recited his concert rather than getting into it. My daughters enjoyed it at times but mostly just kind of tolerated me!

Maybe he wasn't feeling all that great or just had an off night. But it was good to see him again. I hope he is well.

I love how people just assume that everyone knows what stuff like this is.

I think he may just be hit and miss. I saw him 25 years ago in Fayetteville, AR and I was surprised how horrible he was.

Well if you don't know what that means you probably don't have any valid comment to make....oh wait...there you go.

I think my comment is completely valid. Did you not have enough room to type out his name or would it have been TTC?

I was pretty Keen on him until I saw him about 3 yrs ago for the first time. He was very uninspired and just collected a check. Nothing like Live Dinner #2.

Robert Earl Kennedy. Jack and Bobby youngest brother. Had he not turned to music this would be a different country.

I think I’ve seen him play twice since Rich left the band, and I’ll say those were probably my least favorite shows. More so because of the lack of Rich Brotherton’s ridiculous guitar skills, not really because REK himself wasn’t as good.

That's just what he does - he is either ON or OFF.

I've seen him back to back nights in different cities before and one he's electric and the next going through the motions.

Didn't realize Rich left his side. Rich is incredible.

I've seen REK a bunch of times over the past 20 years and I remember him having some amazing shows and some just kinda blah shows.

I love to hear that he's out there touring though. He's still a classic.

I guess I have caught him on good nights before. I have seen the same thing out of Jimmy Buffet. One time awesome, the next time they were so stoned or drunk or something the band couldn’t even stay together and we ended up leaving.

Saw him at Peacemaker a couple years ago when he filled in for Turnpike. Great show, gf had never seen him & was prolly the 4th time for me. He was a pro & very engaged.
