Any Sigur Ros fans checked out the new album yet?

Not sure calling it new is accurate since it's a bunch of older songs they've finally put to an album from a live show 15 or so years ago, but same difference. But I guess they're all new songs for most listeners.
Gotta admit, on first listen I wasn't a fan. I don't really "get" opera, and it sounded like an opera to me. But as I've listened more and more to it, I've grown to love it. And it really solidifies why I love this band. Almost every album they've put out has a different sound feel to it. I do think the traditional Sigur Ros sound gets lost on this album and they seem to be more of a supporting band to the orchestra, and some of that sound is just not there - namely, Jonsi's bow on the electric guitar.
Anyway, probably their last album of new material since the piano player left the band and the drummer got kicked out for raping a girl.

I used to like Sigur Ros and I was actually listening to some the other day but it sorta grew tiresome on me.

Well, he was accused of raping a girl and they kicked him out. No idea whatever became of that allegation.

Love SR, but was under the impression they didn't dig females (maybe that's just Jonsi).

It's been a while, but my recollection was that it was one of those exaggerated allegations during the MeToo overload, and Jonsi overreacted to it. I could be confusing this with a different allegation, so feel free to check my math on this one.

I don't even remember any details of the allegation, but it was definitely at the height of the #metoo movement.
Maybe because he was still with the band when this album was recorded, but he's been in most of the press release photos for it. But then so has the piano player that left the band to pursue his opera career. That was the big blow for me, because my favorite SR songs are the piano heavy ones.

The album with Alien on the cover is pretty good. I never really got into them beyond that.
