That’s an old pic. Looks a lot better now.

Played bass and sang (mostly backup but a few leads) for a three piece during my AU days from 1981-83. Good mix of originals (written mostly by guitarist/lead vox) and eclectic covers (early WHO, Beatles, Clash, Elvis Costello, Ramones, Iggy, etc). Played mostly frats and a couple of local venues.
Recorded an album in late ‘82 with the help of a local guy who went on to start Imaginary Records at Toomers Corner. Drummer graduated (EE) and got a job in Tampa, guitarist and I eventually followed him down there and tried to get a management deal but never pulled it off.
Guitarist & drummer went on to record a couple more albums worth of material in the late 80s without my participation, however we kept in touch over the years. Through the magic of the interwebs we recorded an album of all new material in 2016, and played our first live gig in 30+ years in September 2018, with plans to play again on a more frequent basis as our “real” careers start to wind down.
Links for the curious:
The Moderns on Bandcamp (all four albums)
The Moderns on Spotify
The Moderns Live 9/8/18 on YouTube

I've been playing shows as a drummer since 2000, between about 10-12 bands (multiple genres) in the Baton Rouge area. Playing in an obscure metal band at the moment, but we aren't quite show ready yet. I won't list my past bands, because too many people on here will likely know who I am, and I'd like to stay anonymous. Truthfully I love music too much to stop, it doesn't make me any money but I enjoy it as a hobby all the same.

That is cool as hell. We had some guys that messed around and we got to get up and play about 20 min. at Lil Irelands one time. Mostly it was just playing for our friends. I play way more now than I ever played when I was younger.
